Congress MLA Kothur G Manjunath booked by Banashankari police over controversial remarks on ‘Operation Sindoor’

The Banashankari police have registered a complaint against Kolar MLA Kothur Manjunath for his remarks against the Operation Sindoor . Based on the complaint by Ganesh Singh B,Vice President of Bengaluru Nagarika Hakku Horata Samithi , the police have taken up a complaint and transferred it to Kolar . According to the complaint,Mr.Manjunath criticized the Indian Armed forced operations against Pakistan and demanded proof,while the whole world witnessed and hailed the surgical strikes. His anti national comments has not only demean the armed forced but also offended the sentiments of the people of India . The complaint demanded that he should be booked under sedition and take strict action against him.The complaint also submitted Mr.Manjunath’s records of the statement he made before the media while commenting against the operation.

Kolar MLA doling out cash was from before demonetisation

Kolar, Nov 10: On Wednesday, pictures went viral on social media of a few people standing behind a table stacked with bundles of notes. The photograph showed Bangarpet MLA and Congress leader SN Narayan Swamy, district panchayat member Mahesh and bank president Byalahalli Govinda Gowda disbursing notes to people in a queue. The photograph went viral with a note saying that bank officials and politicians were giving away Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes in an attempt to convert black money into white money after the Indian Government demonetized these currencies. The programme however was held on Monday and bank president Byalahalli Govinda Gowda said the photos had even appeared in newspapers on Tuesday. The Prime Minister’s announcement had come on Tuesday night.
